1. How do I establish utility service for an existing residence?

Contact the Public Works Department at (785) 587-1853 to establish new utility service. The consumer will need to submit an application with two forms of identification and pay adequate deposits based on their personal credit history.

Tune to your favor radio station for snow removal updates. Local forecasts are also broadcast on cable channel 9 and appear in The Hawk Eye.

5. I have an RV; is there some place in the city I can dump my waste tank?

There is a seasonal dump station located near the riverfront boat docks at the east end of Market Street.
