Seven off-duty Burlington Firefighters also were summoned to assist and cover any additional emergency calls.
There were no injuries to the occupants as they were alerted to the fire by working smoke detectors prior to calling 911.
The cause of the fire was the result of heat from a wood burning fire place in the living room that ignited materials above the ceiling. The home did sustain significant water, smoke and fire damages. Fire crews cleared the scene at 5:46 am.
