We are pleased to announce that the Burlington Fire
Department has received a donation from the Archer Daniels Midland
Company. The donation of $1400 will go
towards the purchasing of new battery operated Milwaukee M28 Combo kits (work
tools). These tools will be placed onto
the first out engines of the Department and may be used on a daily basis.
Funding is continually a concern for the Department and the
City of Burlington, as we strive to remain cognizant of our fiscal
responsibilities to the community. Being
able to work with organizations such as A.D.M., who understand the importance
of community and who continually strive for improvement within the community is
an honor and a privilege.
The donation was given through ADM Cares. ADM Cares is a social investment program that
directs funds to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social,
economic and environmental progress worldwide.
The program comprises three distinct focus areas: supporting the
responsible development of agriculture, improving the quality of life in ADM
communities and fostering employee giving and volunteer activities.
The Burlington Fire Department would like to express our
deepest appreciation to Archer Daniels Midland Company and those within the ADM
Cares program for their generous donation.
