Earth Day

Website Banner

Keep Burlington Beautiful sponsors the annual Earth Day Clean-Up and promotes beautification efforts in Greater Burlington, Iowa. The goal has always been simple; spend a little extra time taking care of the community we live, work and play in.

This event is family friendly and all members of the community are welcome. Volunteers begin arriving at the Port of Burlington at 8:00 AM where the Keep Burlington Beautiful committee provides trash bags, gloves, vests and locations if needed.  Lunch is provided after the event and there will be live entertainment and door prizes for those joining in that day!

There are T-Shirts available for purchase online before the event or the morning of. There will be previous years shirts at a discounted price.

2020 Event Date - Flyer

On March 16, 2020 City Council approved a resolution that recommended events with 50 or more people be cancelled or postponed for the next 8 weeks or through May 10, 2020. We are dedicated to the health and safety of our volunteers and community and in light of this latest resolution have decided to postpone our Earth Day event indefinitely. We will be able to provide more updates on the event as information from the CDC, IDPH and our governor are made available. At this time, we are encouraging our volunteers and local families to participate when able to by picking up litter in their neighborhoods or while on walks. Thank you for everyone’s patience and continued efforts to Keep Burlington Beautiful!
